Liebes Poesie
We just arrived in Gili Trawangan where finally we plan sleeping for more than 2 nights in the same place. Most likely we will stay here until Sunday/Monday and move on to Bali. We first had given it a thought to climb up the volcano of Rinjani, but the weather gets worse on the island of Lombok and it's not advisable to climb up with bad weather. And also Tripogonz is experiencing very acute moments of lazyness and no motivation at all to run up 3000 meters...
Apart from that everything is fine. We had a great time on our cruise from Labuan Bajo along Sumbawa to Lombok with a very friendly crew and a very untalkative old danish cookie (who wore the same t-shirt for 4 days and lost his seemingly only pants last night during heavy winds - they just landed in the sea for good), ate great fish, snorkled like there was no tomorrow and of course had everything documented at lenght on pictures. (Unfortunately, even though we almost got into a stormy night, Kurt didn't join us) We invite you all to our first diashow as soon as we get back. A big highlight was of course the komodo dragons of Rinca and Komodo, very impressive also for animal-scepticists like the princess from the Atlas!
Stomachs are still doing fine. More or less. Tripogonz has his usual cramps in the morning and should actually have more bananas and white rice. And stop trying all sweets handed by friendly locals...
We miss you a lot and if you want to give us some news as to what's happening on the other end of the world (apart from disgraceful mails from the ICZ regarding ISO), please feel free!
